A black sort of crescent shaped plastic thing with two metal strips, which is normally stationed on the back of my dryer, fell off in a load of clothes. Is it essential that I put it back on? What is its function? I'm pretty sure the metal strips were snagging some of my clothes prior to it falling off.
(it's on the back of the inside of the dryer bin normally)

it is used as a balance weight for inside your dyer…best attach it back on…super glue should do the trick
