I purchased a house with appliances included. The 2006 electric Whirlpool Estate Dryer looks brand new (very little lint even in the trap). First time running it blew my 220 line fuse (just thought it was an old fuse). After replacing it dryer went a full cycle fine. The next load after that never shut off (timer never counted down and it ran all night). We thought we could live with that and just monitor it. Now there is no heat either but it still runs, again without counting down. Is this just one part that is affecting this (timer unit) or is the heating unit involved or is it something completely different. Just a service call will be , when at least the timer unit looks easy to replace. If it is possibly something else it might be worth just buying a new dryer? Can anyone help identify the issue and give recommendations?

The one that we have now is broken and we can't get it out of the dryer somestimes we can but sometimes not. and the lint is coming out of the back of the dryer cause the part that hooks up to that part keeps falling off.
www.mrappliance.com.au, We show you how to clean your clothes dryerlint filter and the look after your clothes and tumble dryer by lowering the risk of extra power usage, longer periods of time to dry your clothes and more important how to reduce the risk of a fire by having a dirty lint filter. Cleaning your lint filter should be done after each use, this will ensure you will keep the fire hazard down and not use more powere than is really required. It is very easy to do. The video shows the lint filter on the Simpson branded products which includes the Sirocco, Minimax and Maxidry clothes and tumble dryers.
I check my fiances pockets before I wash the clothes but I guess I forgot a pocket of something and there were 3 pieces of "extra spearamint" gum thats in my dryer
There is a little bit in the drum part of the dryer and there is a lot on the thing that traps the lint how to i get it off? I have been scraping at it with my fingernails but I cant get anymore off.
Any ideas? Thanks
I noticed this the last time I dried clothes so I stopped it and the clothes even smelled burned. So I have cleaned out the lint from inside the trap and the coil going into the wall and the part in the wall and it still has that smell when it runs. So is this something that can be repaired? Has this happened to anyone?? Or will I need a new dryer? Thanks!
I have an electric clothes dryer. Whirlpool model LE9100XTN0
The clothes have been coming out super hot. Almost too hot to touch. I suspect a thermostat but there are two. One is on the heater box ( part number 3390291) and the other on the blower or exhaust box ( part number 3387134). I checked them with my ohm meter and Both have continuity but I realize one (or both) could still be defective. Which thermostat should I try replacing first? Which one is the likely culprit ? or..... Could it be a faulty moisture sensor or something else ?
Forgot to mention that I have cleaned the entire dryer and the vent to the outside. I also suspected lint buildup but there was no buildup and what little was there i cleaned and removed it is absolutley clean and free from lint now but is still overheating
