Wow, it would be easy to get lost in the advise of the inexperienced. Dryers squeek because the bushings (not bearings) lose their lubrication over time, leaving a sticky residue behind. The dryer will need to be disassembled and the bushings cleaned and relubricated with a silicone grease (this isn't that hard to do). You can get by with applying a little household oil to the bushings, but this will only offer temporary relief, maybe a month. The belt NEVER squeeks, but if the bushings get bad enough, you may smell burnt rubber from the belt.

yes, you almost certainly need a new belt, and they're easy to buy and install. The internet is an easy place to shop, if you can't find it locally. Good idea to replace the drum bearing and pads, too. The drum bearing connects the center of the back of the drum to the back wall, and the pads sit under the front, about 75 degrees or so apart. They're made of fiber, and about 2 by 3 inches. Usually, the belt wear is due to long term effects of heat, but is exacerbated by drum bearing friction. bearing kit is cheap, and very easy to install while disassembled to install new belt. Total cost probably under $25.
