I bought my clothes dryer towards the later part of 2003. It is a Frigidaire that I got from Best Buy. It was working just fine all week, and then all of a sudden yesterday, it wouldn't cut on anymore. What on earth could be wrong with it, it didn't make any out of the ordinary noise, or anything, it just stopped working.

I only wanted a belt. The new belt is 4 teeth wide. The old belt is 6 teeth wide. The parts man tells me that I will need to replace my old pulleys if I want to use the new belt, that all the parts on my dryer have been changed. I would like to use a belt like the old one and I have it off the dryer. How can I get a belt for this dryer? Can I go to a belt selling place and just get a belt from them using the numbers on the belt itself and dimensions?

Theres nothing heavyduty about this dryer as its put together rather cheap. They don't tell you when you buy them that you have to have it greased every 18 to 24 months or you will burn the bearing out of the back of the drum and take out the heating element.
